Arsène Wenger has promised to address Arsenal's lack of defensive cover in the January transfer window, with Celtic's Virgil van Dijk among the targets being considered.
As revealed by Telegraph Sport, Arsenal have a budget of about £20 million for new players and at Thursday’s annual general meeting it was made clear that Wenger will be granted autonomy to spend that money exactly as he pleases.
